Would my ex have taken me back?
It’s funny how certain events can spark old memories. Taking a walk down our street last night, I was suddenly reminded of how many walks I took with my long-time girlfriend. The funny thing is that it’s been over three years since the breakup. I really have to admit that I haven’t met anyone like her since.
Even now, I catch myself wondering if things could have been different. Obviously, I didn’t make the right moves back then because of the emotional turmoil I was going through. Wondering, will my ex ever take me back, was certainly not the right approach. Thinking about it now, I should have broken off contact instead of harassing her to the point where she didn’t want to see me. Maybe then I would have stood a chance. Those are some tough life lessons.
