How 0845 numbers make me more money
I was recently very happily surprised by a new service I subscribed to, it was an 0845 telephone number, these 0845 numbers are often called local rate numbers as the caller pays the cost of a local call when the telephone no matter where in the country they call you from, but this was not the feature that attracted me to the service, I liked the reporting features, they allowed me to see if the calls were being answered or not, and this highlighted a period that I thought we were receiving no calls, but were in fact receiving about 5% of our calls a day at this time, so I scheduled extra staff for this time and I know I am a step ahead of my competitors as they close early and miss these extra enquires from potential customers.
